DEVON GIRLS FOOTBALL LEAGUE
Welcome to the Devon Girls Football League which was formed in 2006, with 30 teams playing in 6 divisions from U11 to U16.
The main aims of the league were to unify a previously fragmented sport and provide a platform on which teams within Devon could use to develop the girls game in the South West.
The 2007/2008 season saw a 40% increase in membership, with more teams playing at every age group, whilst the DGFL continued to lead by example in the South West by providing 11-a-side football for U14, U15 and U16 age groups. The introduction of a Representative squad at U11, and a County Cup competition at U13, ensured a bright and exciting future for girls football in Devon.
A significant increase in player participation within the DGFL means that over 1200 registered females will enjoy organised football throughout the county for the 2008/2009 season.
The league is run by a committee of dedicated volunteers all of whom can be contacted via this website.
